The Problem: It is difficult to know which pubs are showing sky sports, meaning long walks or missing out on great sporting events.
The Solution: A Google Maps function with pubs showing sky sports to make them easier to find.
This may not seem one of the world’s most important problems to solve, but as anyone who watched the 2019 cricket world cup final would attest, there are some moments in sport you do not want to miss! So it is frustrating when you’re walking around, see on your phone that a game is close, but don’t know where to go to see it on tv.

A simple solution would be to include the functionality on Google Maps to be able to identify establishments (usually pubs) showing sports. This would not only work in the UK, but worldwide – for example, on BBC text for the cricket someone in Vietnam was asking if anyone knew a pub they could watch the cricket in (and they did get a suggestion by another viewer)!
As a commercial license is needed to show sport in a public place, it could also help with legal compliance and would be very simple to create, those with a license simply have their location fed into Google, or include it on information they upload about themselves to Google Maps. It would be even more useful if they specified which sport/game they were showing, so that when multiple sporting events were on customers were not disappointed to see the football on when they were hoping for the cricket.
